BRAND IDENTITY FOR ENGINEERING COMPANY THAT PROVIDES INNOVATIVE ENGINEERING SERVICES TO DEVELOPERS, COMPANIES, PRIVATE INDIVIDUALS AND ARCHITECTS.

Overview

Mondon Engineering is a Durban-based civil and structural engineering consultancy operating in South Africa for more than 30 years. The company provides professional engineering services, including structural and civil design, technical assessment, and engineering support for built-environment projects.

The project focused on repositioning Mondon from a conventional engineering firm, to a progressive and innovative consultancy.

Through a refreshed visual identity the goal was to communicate the design edge that they have (that wasn't clearly communicated) as well as still maintain their integrity & professionalism which they had been already executing for more than 30 years.

Because of the literal links between engineering and architecture, the goal was to blend the visual language of both worlds with calculated predictability and design.

The outcome was a brand defined by structural clarity and discipline, reinforcing credibility, and enabling more confident, consistent aesthetically pleasing communication in a world of dull and dreary existing "professional" touch points.

Logo construction & concept

The chosen logo uses isometric geometry to construct an abstract letter ‘M’, reflecting the three-dimensional, physical nature of the structures and built forms created through civil engineering.
